About :

 

At Raymondson Virtual Robotics Club kids and teens learn robotics using a high-end Lego® Mindstorms EV3 robot simulator, and the same programming tools used with the real robot. No physical robot required. We provide the software.

 

Every week your child will learn to code and simulate a robot to answer interesting questions such as ‘How fast can I go?’ or to solve challenges such as ‘Dropping off food to ‘at risk’ persons safely’. They will learn how to control servo motors, and a range of sensors including touch, ultrasonic, infrared, colour and gyro sensors.


Our Virtual Robotics labs take learning STEM at home beyond paper mats and household props. As we immerse your child in realistic simulations of past World Robotics Olympiad and First Lego League competitions, they will learn strategy, engineering and programming skills to levels beyond what is possible at home or in school with the standard EV3 robotics kit.


We provide your child with a complete introduction to programming covering the fundamentals: sequences, loops, functions, conditions, events, algorithms, and variables. The programme draws from a range of expertise, including plans from successful international robotics team trainers and the world-renowned Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy. This ensures that our club can offer your child years of inspirational STEM learning experiences that help them to engineer an amazing future!
